Happy Easter! I am excited to celebrate this day with you for the final time at 1225 Glendale! We are excited about what God is doing for our church family! I felt there was no better time than today is remember the price that was paid for our salvation. Paul said in I Corinthians 11:26 “For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.” Because of His sacrifice, He conquered death, hell and the grave for you and I! Hallelujah, He’s alive!

“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” Joshua commanded Israel before his death, “… But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

As we learned Tuesday night, we all make decisions every day. Proverbs 16:3 tells us that if we commit to the Lord everything we do (our “works”), He will establish our plans. Make the decision to follow Jesus and He will cause your plans to prosper!

Special note that our prayer meetings have been changed to “First Saturday” of every month. These prayer services are growing in number and we are excited about what the Lord will accomplish when we bind together in fervent prayer!

I was very glad that several of our ladies were able to attend Ladies Conference in Lufkin! I pray that they had a great time of fellowship and have returned “fired” up in the Holy Ghost!

Special thanks to all who came to our March “Last Saturday” prayer meeting! I believe that it is united, fervent prayer that will make the difference in our lives, in our families and in our church as a whole! God still answers prayers!

We will begin a youth class on Tuesday nights. If you have someone in your family that could benefit from a youth oriented class, please let us know.

Excitement is building!

In Romans 1:16, Paul says “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” We need to understand that the power of our salvation will be what keeps us strong during the last days!

Let’s make sure that we spread the “good news” of salvation to everyone that we know! Everyone needs Jesus. Stay strong and spread the Word!

Pastor’s Corner:
Thank you for your faithful attendance to the house of God! “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalms 122:1

The steel for our new church facility has now been ordered and the concrete and plumbing work are starting.

Today is Missions Sunday and I ask that you continue your pledges to our Global Missions and North American Missions. It is our biggest expense each month but it is well worth the sacrifice! We must win the lost!

Pastor’s Corner:
Special thanks to everyone that attended last Sunday’s special revival service with Bro. Nathan Burks. We did have quite a few visitors and I am thankful for your hard work!

We are moving forward with obtaining bids on the various aspects of our construction. The concrete work and plumbing will be the first to begin.

Let’s stay faithful to church and consistent in our giving and God will provide! Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” I Thessalonians 5:24

Pastor’s Corner:
I want to say a special “thank you” for the awesome crowd that we had last Sunday night in service. As we begin the construction of our new facility, it will be important for us to stay focused on our priority – souls for the Kingdom!

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” John 9:4

This past Wednesday, all the paperwork was completed for our construction loan. What a relief! Let the construction begin. We will keep you posted on all progress.

Special thanks to those who came for prayer this past week and to the ladies who provided the food following!

Pastor’s Corner:
The first week of the new year has come and gone! As we enter into the second week, we expect to finish all the paperwork on our new church building loan and, when that is concluded, we will begin the construction project!

Every obstacle that we have encountered, with prayer and patience, God has completely removed! We can truthfully say that we are operating on His timetable and that is always the best way to proceed.

I want to say a special “thank you” for your giving in 2016 and you will begin to receive contribution statements in the mail. God works miracles through our faithful and consistent giving! Pastor Michael G. LaBrie

Pastor’s Corner:
Last Sunday night we had an awesome time in the Holy Ghost! I truly feel that lives were changed in that service!
Our appraisals came in on Monday for our new facility and they were higher than anticipated. Thank the Lord!
We are making progress and should have all the papers signed next week and work can begin!
This year is going to be very exciting for our church family. As we watch our new building construction and see excite-ment about our future, we do not want to lose our focus on the present. “… for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Souls are lost. Jesus is coming. Work while it is day! Pastor Michael G. LaBrie
